Generally, we seek applications for graduate students. We seek individuals interested in child clinical psychology, developmental psychology, or neuroscience degrees. Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications for fall 2025 admission cycle. We hope that you find other opportunities and have a productive career!
For more information about applying, please refer to the Department of Psychology's admissions page.
Undergraduate students can gain research experience by becoming research assistants. Students work either as volunteers or obtain class credit. We require that RAs work at least 6 hours per week regardless of whether they are receiving credit. Priority will be given to RAs willing to commit to 2 consecutive semesters. Currently, we are conducting experiments involving cognitive psychology, emotional processing, psychophysiology, and virtual reality in college-aged students. If you are interested in joining, complete our online application. We typically will interview interested students in late March/April for the fall semester and Oct/Nov for the spring semester. Upon reviewing your application, we may contact you to interview. We encourage you to continue seeking opportunities in the meantime. For more information, please email j.britton@miami.edu
